5 Rumoured Rifts Between Indian Cricketers Which Turned Out to be a Reality
Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar
These two players are known as legends in Indian Cricket history. But, both Rahul and Sachin got involved in a rift during a match in Pakistan. Sachin Tendulkar said the same thing in his autobiography, named ‘Playing it My Way.’ The match was against Pakistan in Multan. Sourav Ganguly missed that match due to an injury. Hence, Rahul Dravid was the captain.
But, he decided to declare the innings when Tendulkar was batting on 194* runs. Sachin claimed that he called for the declaration two overs earlier. In his book, he wrote: “Rahul said that the call was taken with the interests of the team in mind. It was important to demonstrate that we meant business and were keen to win. I wasn’t convinced.”
