7 Changes in India’s Squad for ODI World Cup 2023 from ODI World Cup 2019
The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in October. The first match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand will lock horns against each other. The venues for the knockout games and semi-final have been announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The Men in Blue’s opening game of the mega event will be against Australia at MA. Chidambaram, in Chennai on October 8. One of the biggest fixtures of the tournament will be played between India and Pakistan. Earlier, the game was set to be played on October 15, but now the game has been preponed to October 14 due to the auspicious festival of Navratri.

7. Shardul Thakur replaces Vijay Shankar:
India all-rounder, Vijay Shankar participated in the 2019 ODI World Cup because of which the middle-order batter Ambati Rayudu was dropped from the team, who was groomed for last one year. Shankar played three matches where he scored 58 runs and picked 2 wickets in the 2019 edition of the World Cup. In place of him, Shardul Thakur has got the opportunity to play. He has the capability of giving breakthroughs in the middle overs and can also score quick runs while batting in the lower order.
