’83’ actor, Tagenarine Chanderpaul makes his debut for West Indies
On November 30, Tagenarine Chanderpaul made his Test debut for the West Indies in the first Test against Australia. Notably, he is the son of former West Indies legendary player, Shivnarine Chanderpaul. The Jr. Chanderpaul has played for the West Indies U19, Guyana Colts, and its senior team. However, not many are aware of the fact that he worked in a Bollywood movie.
In the movie on India’s 1983 World Cup winning campaign (83), the left-hander played the role of the legendary player, Larry Gomez. The latter played for the Caribbean in the 1970s and 1980s and was part of the team that lost the final to India in the 1983 World Cup. Meanwhile, after making the Test debut, Tagenarine’s selfie with the likes of Bollywood actors, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is going viral.
