Punjab is playing Kolkata in the eighth match of the Indian T20 League at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Kolkata has completely dominated their opponents in the match till now.
Kolkata’s skipper, Shreyas Iyer decided to field first after winning the toss. The skipper trusted Umesh Yadav with the new ball once again and the Indian pacer did not disappoint his captain. Just like the previous two matches he breathed fire with the new ball once again. He dismissed the Punjab skipper Mayank Agarwal in the very first over and rocked them early. Later in his spell he picked up Liam Livingstone, Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar to finish with 4 wickets in his 4 overs conceding just 23 runs.
The fans took Twitter commenting on the pacer’s excellent exploits in the three matches that he has featured. With these 4 wickets he has also become the Purple Cap owner of the tournament for now. The fans were praising his consistency this season that he has made it a habit of picking up wickets in the first over.
