Bangalore’s young explosive batter: Suyash Prabhudessai, all you need to know about him
Chennai and Bangalore faced off in the 22nd match of the Indian T20 League 2022. The encounter between the two South-India-based franchises was a high-scoring thriller. A total of 409 runs were scored in the match of the 40 overs. While Chennai won the match by 23 runs, Bangalore fought hard till the end.
Bangalore won the toss and invited Chennai to bat first. Moeen Ali was sent in at number 3 by Chennai, but he was run out by the brilliant effort of the young player Suyash Prabhudessai. The match was Suyash’s debut in the Indian T20 League. As Moeen played a cut shot in the gap between third man and point region, the young fielder dived and saved the boundary. He then effected a brilliant run-out with a bullet throw to the wicketkeeper. Besides this, he was brilliant in the field throughout Chennai’s innings and impressed everybody with his supreme fielding efforts.
Suyash’s brilliant exploits did not end in his fielding efforts only. He also impressed everybody with the bat in hand. He came out to bat for Bangalore when the team’s score was 50 for in the 7th over. With the cream of the Bangalore batting in Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell back in the hut, it appeared that Chennai has already pocketed the match. But Suyash Prabhudessai decided not to go down without a fight. He played a brilliant knock of 34 runs off 18 deliveries hitting 5 fours and 1 six. The innings from the young man gave Bangalore the momentum that they needed at that stage of their innings. However, Bangalore lost the match Suyash impressed everybody with his effort.
