The Indian T20 League has been the biggest and the best stage for players to prove their worth. Over the years the tournament has given many new talents to the world of cricket and also many veterans have redeemed their careers with their performances in the tournament.

The 15^th edition of the tournament has been no exception to this general rule of thumb. While it has given glimpses of some of the future superstars like Umran Malik, Tilak Varma, and Jitesh Sharma to mention a few, some of the veterans have revived their careers with awesome performances. Here we take a look at five players who played surprisingly well in the 15^th edition of the tournament.

1. Hardik Pandya: Hardik Pandya was struggling with all types of issues from injuries to being out of form heading into the Indian T20 League 2022. In the 14^th edition of the tournament, Hardik Pandya scored just 127 runs from 12 innings at an average of 14.11. He was also not able to bowl owing to injury issues. Critics were starting to write him off and also speaking about his career being over even before it reached its peak.

But Pandya has bounced back with his brilliant performances in the Indian T20 League 2022 and has silenced his critics in the process. Hardik has scored 453 runs in the tournament at an average of 45.30. The sense of responsibility and the change in batting approach has been a pleasant surprise for everybody following him.

2. Deepak Hooda: Deepak Hooda has been leveled as a talented all-rounder for quite some time. Experts have been of the opinion that the player has the potential of making it big in the international arena also. But Hooda has not been able to back these claims about him with performances on the big stage. However, he has been a surprise for Lucknow in the 15^th edition of the Indian T20 League. Rather than being a pinch-hitting lower middle-order batter, Hooda has acted more like a responsible middle-order batter. He has scored 406 runs from 14 matches in the tournament at an average of 31.23 and has helped his team in its successful journey.

3. Kuldeep Yadav: After a dramatic rise through the ranks on the back of his sensational performance in the initial stages of his career, Kuldeep Yadav was fast disappearing from the mainframe of Indian cricket following a string of average performances. He was a part of the Kolkata team in the last two seasons and played a total of 14 matches in the two editions. Some average performances, lack of enough chances, and critics started to write Kuldeep off. But with the change of team, fortunes also changed for the Chinaman bowler in the 15^th edition of the Indian T20 League. He has played 14 matches in the tournament and has picked up 21 wickets in them at an average of 19.95.

4. Dinesh Karthik: Dinesh Karthik’s performance in the last two Indian T20 League seasons has been average, to say the least. It appeared as if he is confused about what he needed to do on the field and how to approach his batting. But he changed franchise ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022 as Bangalore bought him in the mega auction and with that, he rediscovered himself. He has been sensational as a finisher for Bangalore in the ongoing season. He has scored 287 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 191.33 and an average of 57.40. Apart from the sensational number, he has been instrumental in pulling off some incredible e heists for the team.

5. Mohsin Khan: Mohsin Khan had been a relatively unknown name before the 15^th edition of the Indian T20 League 2022. But he has surprised everybody with his fast and economical bowling. Besides being economical his ability to pick up wickets has made him a prized possession for his team. In the 8 matches, he has played this season, he has picked up 13 wickets and has conceded runs at a rate of just 5.93 runs per over. He has been a revelation and surprise package of the Indian T20 League 2022.
