Watch: Ugly fight takes place between fans in the stands during the first T20I between India and South Africa

Team India lost the first T20I match of their five-match series against South Africa on 9 June 2022 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. However, a video of an ugly fight between some spectators from that match went viral on social media platforms.

From the video, it was presumed that the fans were in the East Stand of the stadium and police came to halt as those people were seen throwing punches at each other. The real reason behind such an embarrassing incident is still unknown. But, the rest of the fans were in total shock after watching this fight in the stands.

A man was creating problems for other spectators in the stand with his huge Indian flag

The video of this ugly fight was circulated over social media platforms. A Twitter user shared it in his account where some reasons were assumed also. He said that the man was having a big Indian National flag with him and was causing problems for other fans. He looked quite over-excited as maybe, it was his first time in a stadium for a match. Suddenly, arguments got started, and that all led to an ugly brawl on the ground.

Here is the tweet of that user:

Speaking of that match, Team India lost the chance of making a World record of winning 13 T20I matches on a trot by losing this one to the Proteas. While batting first, India put up a score of 211 runs by losing four wickets only. Opener Ishan Kishan (76 runs) and Hardik Pandya (31* runs) were instrumental in posting such a huge score.

In reply, despite some early jolts, Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller put up an unbeaten partnership of more than 100 runs to seal the deal for the visitors. Van der Dussen scored an unbeaten knock of 75 runs while chasing that target. David Miller was the player of that match as he scored 64* runs off 31 balls at a strike rate over 200.
