Mohammad Amir responds to Rohit Sharma’s comment about him being an ordinary bowler

Mohammad Amir is known for his lethal bowling abilities as he played a fair amount of matches for his country. He played against arch-rivals India also where he got the opportunity to bowl at the current Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma.
However, during the 2016 Asia Cup, Rohit Sharma made a comment on Amir when he was asked about his chances of becoming a world great. Meanwhile, Amir had a fantastic outing against them in that tournament. Now, the Pakistan pacer responded back to that comment.

Speaking to a local media channel, Mohammad Amir said that he does not take his comments seriously as everyone has their opinions. He also added that It is not possible for everyone to consider him a world-class bowler. He said: “I don’t take Rohit Sharma’s statement seriously. Everyone has his own opinion and it is impossible that everyone regards me as a world-class bowler,”
During the 2016 Asia Cup, Amir had a devastating spell of three wickets of 18 runs against India when he scalped the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and Suresh Raina. Now, he responded that one should not take such comments personally. Amir said: “There is nothing to be felt bad about it, and as a professional, we should not take such things in a negative way. You cannot be everyone’s favorite,”
Amir always loved bowling against India as he delivered another stellar performance in the 2017 Champions Trophy final, claiming the wickets of Rohit Sharma for a duck and sending Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli back to the pavilion. He also claimed Rohit Sharma as a world-class batter despite such comments. “No doubt he is a world-class batsman. I bowled well every time I faced Rohit and he struggled while facing me, still, I will call him a world-class player,” Amir concluded.
Speaking about his career, Amir played 147 International matches where he bagged 259 wickets across all three formats of the game.
