The Indian Test Team is busy playing the fifth rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston. After losing the toss, India was asked to bat first and while batting first, they put up a score of 416 runs. Both Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja scored two centuries as they put up a record-breaking partnership of 222 runs.

In reply, England batters found it tough to score freely as they managed only to score 284 runs. Jonny Bairstow was the lone batter who scored a beautiful ton. But, an interesting thing happened when veteran English pacer, Stuart Broad was asked to “Shut Up” by the umpire, Richard Kettleborough while he was batting. The video got viral and circulated quickly over the Internet.

Here is the shared video:

“Let us do the umpiring – you do the batting” – Richard Kettleborough

Speaking about the incident, when he came out to bat, Mohammed Shami scattered him on the first ball with a short delivery. The next one was much shorter and went for four-bye. He was again troubled by short deliveries in the next over. He also lost his wicket to Siraj on a short ball. Hence, in his five-ball innings, four of them were short balls.

Therefore, he complained to the on-field umpire Richard Kettleborough regarding the number of short balls Indian bowlers bowled to him. But, the umpire told him to focus on his batting only by shutting up his mouth. Richard said: “Let us do the umpiring – you do the batting, alright? Otherwise, you’re going to get into trouble again. One for the over. Broady! Broady! Get on with the batting and shut up,”

Speaking about the match, India is currently on the verge of losing the chance to win a Test series against England on their soil. India set a target of 378 runs. But, England batters are showing their class as they are on now 371 runs for three wickets only in the first session of day five. Joe Root is batting on 137* runs while Bairstow is batting on 112* runs.
