Watch: Hardik Pandya Used Abusive Words For A Senior Player During The Second T20I Against England
After losing the fifth rescheduled Test match earlier this month, India kicked off the scheduled three-match T20I series against England in style as they defeated them by 50 runs in the series opener. After that, India was scheduled to play the second match at Edgbaston on 9 July 2022 with an aim to wrap up the series, with one match to go.
As expected, India made three big changes as Virat Kohli came, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah came into the playing XI. England also made some changes as David Willey made a comeback while Richard Gleeson was handed a debut cap. Speaking about the result of the match, India won the second match again by 49 runs. However, during that match, a surprising incident occurred as Hardik Pandya was seen using some abusive words while fielding in the second innings. A fan also captured that and shared it on his Twitter account.
Here is the shared video:
We will not tolarate abuse for Indian Captain Rohit Sharma by Hardik Pandya. It's okay that he won IPL without Rohit, but still it's very disrespectful #HardikAbusedRohitpic.twitter.com/SubzihXoWZ

Speaking about the video, the incident occurred when Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone were batting for England to chase down the target of 171 runs. From the video, it was heard that the Indian all-rounder used some abusive words and asked someone to focus on him only when he was bowling. Though it was not directed toward any specific player, fans thought that Hardik was pointing to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma from the tone.
The fan, who shared this video, also said that it was not acceptable at all as Rohit Sharma is the captain of India. He also wrote that Hardik might win the recently concluded Indian T20 League for his Gujarat franchise without Rohit Sharma. But, that does not give him the authority to speak like this to one of the great batters of India.
