 Results Of India’s Events On Day 10 Of Commonwealth Games 2022

After Day 9 of the Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian athletes were looking to add more medals to the tally. However, India did not get disappointed as medals came across different events. India managed to add 15 medals to the tally. Hence, Now, India has now grabbed a total number of 55 medals (18 gold, 15 silver, and 22 bronze).

On Day 10, the Indian women’s hockey team won the historic bronze medal by defeating New Zealand. Boxers also won medals in their events. Shuttlers confirmed some medals by qualifying for the finals. Another historical event happened when India won both the gold and silver medal in Men’s Triple Long Jump. However, the Indian women’s cricket team lost in the finals and settled for a silver in the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Results of events for India in the Commonwealth Games 2022, Day 10

Cricket

India lost to Australia by 9 runs in the Women’s T20 Gold Medal Match. The Indian women’s team won the silver medal.

Squash

Pallikal Karthik Dipika/Ghosal Sourav won the bronze medal in Mixed Doubles. 

Table Tennis

Achanta Sharath Kamal/Sathiyan Gnanasekaran won the silver medal in Men’s Doubles. Along with them, Achanta Sharath Kamal/Sreeja Akula won the gold medal in Mixed Doubles. However, Achanta Sharath Kamal qualified for the finals while Sathiyan Gnanasekaran lost in Semi-finals. Sreeja Akula lost in the Women’s Singles Bronze Medal Match.

Boxing

Nitu Ghanghas, Amit Panghal, and Nikhat Zareen won three gold medals in their respective categories. But, Sagar Ahlawat won the silver medal in Men’s Over 92 KG category.

Hockey

In the Women’s Bronze Medal Match, India defeated New Zealand (1) 1-1 (2).

Badminton

Jolly Treesa/Pullela Gayatri Gopichand won the bronze medal in the Women’s Doubles. Kidambi Srikanth also won the bronze medal in Men’s Singles. Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty, PV Sindhu, and Lakshya Sen qualified for the finals in their respective categories. Meanwhile, Jolly Treesa/Gayatri Gopichand lost in the Women’s Doubles Semi-Finals.

Athletics

Eldhose Paul and Abdulla Aboobacker won the gold and silver medal respectively in Men’s Triple Long Jump. But, Praveen Chithravel came fourth in the same event. In Men’s 10,000m Race Walk, Sandeep Kumar won the bronze medal while Amit Khatri came ninth.

On the other side, in the Women’s Javelin Throw, Annu Rani won the bronze medal while Shilpa Rani came seventh. In Men’s Javelin Throw, DP Manu and Rohit Yadav finished fifth and sixth respectively. India also came fifth and sixth in the Women’s 4x100m Relay and Men’s 4x400m Relay respectively.
