Avesh Khan is currently busy playing the Asia Cup 2022 for India in UAE. He has played two matches on the group stage. However, in the ‘Super Four, against Pakistan, He did not play. The Indian coach Rahul Dravid said that he will not play that match as he was quite unwell with a fever.

But, now as per a report of PTI, he is going to be ruled out of the tournament. Hence, India will consider Deepak Chahar as a replacement of him for the rest of the competition. Hence, it can be a huge chance for him ahead of the 20-20 World Cup.

Speaking of Avesh Khan, he has not bowled well in both the matches against Pakistan and Hong Kong. He conceded 72 runs in six overs, at an average of 12. Avesh just took two wickets in those matches.

On the other hand, Deepak Chahar made a much-waited return for India in the last ODI series in Zimbabwe. However, he played two matches in the series. Deepak took five wickets in those matches by conceding 102 runs. Hence, India will hope for another better show from this pacer ahead of the 20-20 World Cup in Australia, later this year.

Speaking about the ongoing Asia Cup, India made a good start by winning both matches on the group stage. They defeated Pakistan by five wickets. Meanwhile, they defeated Hong Kong by 40 runs. Then, they faced their arch-rivals Pakistan again in the ‘Super Four’. But, the Men in Green managed to win that time around by five wickets. Against Hong Kong, Avesh Khan conceded more than 50 runs in his four overs.  Thus, fans became angry with them and shared their views on social media platforms. However, still, the Indian Cricket Board has not confirmed anything regarding the replacement of Avesh Khan or his unavailability for the rest of the tournament.
