On 7 September, Pakistan won against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022. With that win, India and Afghanistan’s chances to qualify for the final got perished away. Now, on 8 September, both teams will lock horns with each other in Dubai, UAE.
But, ahead of this mega clash, some unwanted concern emerges regarding the stadium only. A video went viral on social media platforms where it was seen that there are some smoke outside the stadium. Both India and Afghanistan will look to end their journey in Asia Cup 2022 with a win
Speaking of the video, some people from the production team were seen on the ground. But, some smoke was there outside of the stadium. It seemed like there must be some fire outbreak. However, nothing serious has been reported till now. Some concerts might emerge among fans and players.
But, as of now, the match is going to start as per the scheduled time only. Speaking about India’s journey in the tournament, they won both matches in the group stage. But, in the ‘Super Four’, they lost against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan defeated them by five wickets. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka defeated them by six wickets.
On the other hand, Afghanistan also won both of their group matches. Then they lost both to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Against Pakistan, they lost a thriller at Sharjah while defending only 130 runs in 20 overs. In the last over of the match, Pakistan’s Naseem Shah smashed two consecutive sixes to seal the deal for his country. Now, on 8 September, they will lock horns with each other in Dubai. Both teams will hope to finish the tournament with a win for their fans. On the other hand, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka on 11 September in the final after their ‘Super Four’ game on 9 September 2022.
