‘Urvashi’ – Fans left puzzled after Rishabh Pant shares an image of him playing chess
Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is on a road to recovery after a successful ligament after a major car accident in December 2022. Pant shared the message and thanked all his fans and loved ones for showing care toward him. He also shared pictures of himself after the surgery trying to take things back to normal.
Recently Pant shared a picture on his Instagram story where he seems playing chess. He didn’t reveal with whom he was playing and let his fans guess the opponent. He shared a picture of the chessboard with the caption ‘Can anyone guess who’s playing?’ Fans come up with different answers and guesses. However, Pant hasn’t revealed the opponent yet.
David Warner to lead the Delhi franchise in Pant’s absence!
It will take a long time for the 25-year-old to recover from the injury, and he will also miss the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement yet, David Warner is expected to lead the Delhi Franchise this year in his absence.
Fans are also missing the services of Pant in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy after Australia thrashed India by 9 wickets in the Indore. Nathan Lyon took 8 wickets in the third inning and fans felt that things would be different if Pant was there. Pant has a quite good record against the Australian spinner. He was also the main anchor of India’s historic win at Gabba on their last Australian tour.
India are currently leading by 2-1 in a four-match Test series and they have already retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The hosts dominated in the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi respectively. However, they still need to win the final Test in Ahmedabad to clinch the series and also book their spot in the World Test Championship final. The Aussies have already qualified for the final after winning in Indore.
