Being the first-choice spinner, Maharaj has used all his experience to help his team in difficult subcontinental conditions. In ODI cricket, he made his debut a year later against England and has clinched 44 wickets in 36 matches for South Africa. In India, Maharaj has a great record, especially in Test matches.
