Steam 2023 game awards concludes, check out all nominations and amp winners
A day before the summer sale ends and the winners for the 2023 Steam Awards are out, featuring some of the most beloved games while some questionable and hilarious choices were made by gamers in multiple categories.
Last year, gamers saw more variations of gaming options than what they could handle. With the majority of them being a must-play, 2024 may help clear backlogs. Fret not, as multiple award shows have made it clear what games to play first.
While many deserving games won awards in their respective categories, some winners were quite baffling and left players wondering, even though the winners were selected by player voting.
A great example is Baldur’s Gate 3 winning the “Game of the Year”, and Lethal Company winning the “Better with Friends” award. However, Read Dead Redemption 2, which did not receive any major update or won the “Labour of Love” award, which made gamers question their abilities.
Similarly, players were also shocked to see the “most innovative gameplay” award that went to Starfield despite being Skyrim in space, along with The Last of Us Part 1 winning “best soundtrack”. No one knows if these winners were chosen as a deliberate prank, but it sure made everyone laugh.
