Current English Premier League champion, Manchester City, confirmed the signing of Erling Halaand from Borussia Dortmund on Monday, 13 June 2022. The Norweigian goal-machine came to the club on a five-year contract.

Haaland could be the X-Factor ahead of the next season
His excellent goal-scoring rate in recent years for Dortmund enhanced his market value so much and it is quite justified also. After joining the English champions, he said that he had been following Manchester City in recent seasons, and he is pretty confident that they will win more trophies here in the coming years. Manchester City also shared Tweets to announce this massive signing ahead of the next season.

Speaking to Manchester City TV, Haaland said: “I have always watched City and have loved doing so in recent seasons, You can’t help but admire their style of play, it’s exciting and they create a lot of chances, which is perfect for a player like me. I want to score goals, win trophies and improve as a footballer and I am confident I can do that here,”
Since his debut for Dortmund in January 2020, he scored 86 goals in all competitions. His father was also a player for this English club from 2000-03. During his stint with Dortmund, he also won the German Cup and the Bundesliga Player of the Season award in 2020-21.
This striker will join the English side on July 1. Thus, he can be called the perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero for this club. This argentine striker left the club for FC Barcelona last year. Brazilian Gabriel Jesus never became the no.1 striker for Pep as he is also linked with a move away from the club after the arrival of Haaland in the coming days.
