A heartfelt welcome for Indian players in the Warm-up match against Leicestershire

Before the one-off Test match against England, India was scheduled to play a four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire. Big names of Indian cricket like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had been added to the Test squad as the Indian team is on the verge of winning a historic Test series on the English soil.
However, Indian players greeted with a beloved gesture as they came out to play against that county side. The video had been shared by the Indian Cricket Board where traditional arrangements were seen during the entry of Indian Players.
Leicester is buzzing
As per the video, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill came out while batting first in the match. In this match, four players like Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant, Prasidh Krishna, and Jasprit Bumrah had been playing for the Leicestershire side. It will be a treat to watch for fans when Bumrah will bowl against his teammates like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
This was a heartfelt welcome for the Indian players away from home as traditional dance forms and music would have felt them happy before the match.

This match is vital for Indians as it is the only preparation they will get ahead of the Test match. Speaking about the match, India is currently struggling by scoring 60 runs in 20 overs after scoring four wickets. Prasidh Krishna also grabbed the wicket of Shreyas Iyer.
Speaking of the series, India is already leading this series by 2-1 after last year. The final match got canceled last year due to the sudden outburst of Covid-19. After the Test match, India will play three T20Is and three ODIs against England ahead of the mega event later this year.
