The highest scorer for the side was their opener, Abhishek Sharma, who scored 34 runs off 26 balls with three fours and a six. Rahul Tripathi also scored crucial 21 runs on as many balls as he played in his innings.
Nice to be there at the end and win it for the team: Devon Conway
The pick of the bowler for the home side was star India all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, who snapped three wickets in his spell of four overs where he conceded 22 runs in his spell. One wicket each was grabbed by Akash Singh, Maheesh Theekshana, and Matheesha Pathiran in their respective spells where they conceded 17 runs, 27 runs, and 22 runs respectively.
While chasing a small target of 135 runs, CSK finished the match with eight balls remaining in the game. The highest run scorer for the side was their opener, Devon Conway who scored an unbeaten knock of 77 runs from 57 balls which included 12 fours and a six and on the othe hand, the other opener scored crucial 35 runs off 30 balls which included two fours.
“I appreciate it, nice to be there at the end and win it for the team. The plan was simple, we just try to play good cricket shots in the batting PP and put the bowlers under pressure (on the tactics between himself and Gaikwad). We got the best of the conditions honestly, the ball didn’t hold as much as it did in the 1st innings, it wasn’t the easiest, but was slightly easier (in the second innings). The Bengaluru pitch was a lot better, but we had to play in what was in front of us,” Conway asserted after playing a match-winning knock.
