Meanwhile, talking about their ODI World Cup journey, the Afghanistan team was only able to manage a single win against Scotland during the 2015 ODI World Cup held in Australia. In addition, their side lost all nine matches in the 2019 ODI World Cup. Notably, the squad gave a huge fight to team India; however, Mohammed Shami registered a hattrick in the last over to win the group stage match against Afghanistan back in the 2019 ODI World Cup.
