The Indian Test Team is currently busy playing the fifth rescheduled Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah had been leading and India was asked to bat after losing the Toss.

However, India managed to put up a mammoth score of 416 runs in the first innings. Rishabh Pant’s 146-run knock and Ravindra Jadeja’s century were the main reasons behind such a good total. In reply, till the end of Day two, England batters found it tough to score against India. But, an interesting incident happened when former Indian captain, Virat Kohli was found furious with the on-field umpire Aleem Dar about one of his decision.

He was seen to have a heated conversation about that and the video also got viral quickly over the internet. Here is the shared video:

It could have resulted in an injury to Mohammad Shami

Speaking about the incident, it was Mohammad Shami who was bowling the fourth over of the England innings. English opener Zak Crawley was on the striker end but he moved away from his position when Shami streamed in and threw the ball. However, it was Aleem Dar who stopped him in the middle of his stride.

He did this late action because he wanted to stop the play as the rain was coming. But, it did not go well with Kohli as he was found to react furiously in the stump mic. He said: “Arey, ball ke beech me Kaise rok sakte hain yaar (How can you stop the play in the middle of the delivery?”

Even, when players went off the field, the Indian batter was seen still having a word with both the on-field umpires as he was unhappy with the late decision to stop play.

His anger is justified as the sudden call to stop the play could have resulted in a nasty injury for Shami. But, Day two ended on a positive note for India as they bagged five wickets of England for 84 runs only.
