MS Dhoni is known for his love for his Chennai franchise in the Indian T20 League. Since the inaugural season of this tournament, he led this franchise until 2022. However, he regain the captaincy duties during that season as Ravindra Jadeja handed over the captaincy baton to him.
In 2019, he became the first captain to win 100 matches in the Indian T20 League as his team defeated the Rajasthan franchise by 4 wickets in Jaipur on 11th April.
