Anshul Jubli created history after taking part in the UFC 294. The 28-year-old became only the second fighter from India to enter the UFC Octagon. Jubli had to overcome Mike Breeden in the clash, who did not have a great record in his recent matches in the UFC. Anshul was confident of beating Breeden. Unfortunately, it was not to be, as the Indians fell short.

Jubli was very good in jabs and body punches. He punched the opponent’s face with good composure. But the experienced campaigner got the better of Jubli in the third round, which was highly effective for Breeden. Jubli was in the fight till the end, but the exposure of Breeden at the highest level helped him to hold his nerves and overcome the Indian fighter.

In the first round of the match, both fighters had a balanced bout. The two fighters tried to analyze the reach of each other. Both of them punched each other and copped blows. Many felt that Anshul won the first round. In the second round, Jubli tried to attack Breeden. But the experienced fighter had control of the match by the end of the second round.

Mike Breeden overcomes Anshul Jubli with a dominant third-round

Breeden had an injury in his eyebrows. Anshul targeted the injured part of Breeden and tried to take some advantage. However, the American fighter got the better of Jubli towards the third round. The final round of the match surely belonged to Breeden. The knockout resulted in Jubli’s first loss in the UFC. Breeden won it by dominating his opponent in the last round.

Breeden tried to play mind games in the final round by barking at him. Jubli probably felt the pressure of the stage, as it seemed like Breeden had the edge over Jubli. Though the Indian fighter lost the match, the fans appreciated his efforts. Breeden himself praised the Indian fighter and felt that Jubli would improve a lot by learning from his mistakes in the upcoming days after having more exposure at the highest level.
