The Indian T20 League player auction is less than a month away. The event will take place on December 23. Ahead of the event, a lot of players registered. One of them is Australia all-rounder Cameron Green. He caught the eyes during India’s T20I series at home against Australia in September this year. In that series, he opened the batting and took the attack on the Indian bowlers.

Also, it s important to understand the need for a fast-bowling all-rounder in the T20s. A team such as Rajasthan missed one last year and it eventually cost them the final against Gujarat. Meanwhile, Australia’s opening batter David Warner has a piece of advice for Green. The former Hyderabad and now a Delhi player in the tournament has said that India can be physically challenging.

Warner was referring to Australia’s tour of India for four Tests, followed by the 2023 Indian T20 League. The left-hander pointed out that 19 weeks under the heat in India can be quite challenging.

“From an experience point of view, it’s great. From a playing point of view, he’s got four Test matches and a few one-dayers after it. Nineteen weeks straight in India, being your first trip as well can be quite challenging from the heat perspective, the playing, the recovery.”

Australia’s opening batter also recalled his time in India in 2017. In February-March that year, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was played in India, followed by the Indian T20 League in April-May the same year. The 35-year-old pointed out the Aussies schedule after the cash-rich league next year.

“I’ve been through it, I’ve done the Test series and the ITL straight before (in 2017). It is tough. Then on the back of that, you’ve got five Test matches in England. Then I think you’ve got 20 days off before you go to (South) Africa and then go to a World Cup.” Warner was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au in Perth.
