After having a poor Asia Cup campaign, India is currently preparing for the upcoming T20I series at home against Australia. Both teams will play this three-match series ahead of the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. Virat Kohli had a great Asia Cup for India. Finally, he also scored his 71st international tin in the tournament.

The century came after a long gap of 1021 days. In the Asia Cup, Virat scored 276 runs in five innings, at an average of 92. But, now, a fan shared a throwback tweet from the Bollywood actor, Ayushmann Khurrana on his account. He shared the tweet with a caption: “My gallery keeps on surprising me…” with a smiling emoticon. Other fans also found it funny as it went viral all over social media.

Ayushmann Khurrana seemed to suggest MS Dhoni for ignoring Virat Kohli over other players

Speaking of that old tweet, it was found that Ayushmann gave a suggestion to then captain MS Dhoni regarding Virat Kohli. The date of that tweet was 28 September 2009. In that tweet, he wrote: “@MahendraDhoni We have more talented batter than Virat Kohli, pls notice Mohd Kaif again, he’s doin good in the domestic circuit. Best ‘o’luck.”

From this tweet, it seemed that Ayushmann was not a big fan of Kohli at that Time. Thus, he wanted MS Dhoni to drop him. Instead of him, Khurrana said that go for Mohd Kaif as he was doing so well in the Indian domestic arena. However, as of now, based on what Kohli has achieved all these years, this tweet surprised fans and the actor himself.

Speaking about Kohli’s career, he has played 468 matches for India across all three formats. In these amount of matches, he has scored 24002 runs. Meanwhile, this batter has smashed 71 tons and 124 fifties in his career. On the other hand, Kohli also managed to get a chance in the 2011 50-over World Cup for India. Eventually, he became a World Cup winner by winning that tournament in India.
