England cricket team fan club Barmy Army shared a viral video where a batter is seen hitting the ball in the most unusual way. Indian fans reacted to the video and mocked the Barmy Army saying that Rishabh Pant can do the same to their pace bowlers James Anderson and Jofra Archer. In March last year, Pant played a reverse scoop against Anderson while batting in the 90s.

The Indian batter is known to play outrageous shots. Pant went on to score a hundred in the game as India won the game by an innings and 25 runs. This win meant the team qualified for the Test Championship final.

Talking about the video posted by the English fan club, the batter played the ball towards the square leg boundary. This was an unusual shot as the ball had gone past the batter when he played the shot. More so, he played that with just one hand. Interestingly enough, the ball went in the air and travelled the distance. The video was captioned as “Surely not” and was captioned: “WHAT IS THIS ” by the Barmy Army.

India are due to play a limited-overs series and the remaining Test match of the 2021 five-match series against England in the UK in July this year. The fans will be waiting for Pant to come up against Anderson and emulate this shot. This won’t be easy mind you.
