Nathan Lyon achieved a grand milestone as he registered 500 wickets in red-ball cricket in 2023. Lyon dismissed 43 batsmen in 2023 with an average of 23.62. His best figures of 2023 were registered against India during the Indore test where he took 11 wickets.
Despite an underperformance throughout the year, Starc’s showcase of brilliance in the WTC final against India landed him a spot on this list. With his toe-crushing Yorkers, Starc picked 34 wickets in 8 Test Matches with an average of 29.47.
The English bowler Stuart Broad recently retired from the format after the Ashes 2023, wherein he took 22 wickets against Australia. Throughout the eight matches he played for England, broad picked up 38 wickets with an average of 26.28.
