Nitish Rana, the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), sent a mysterious message on social media a few hours after India’s selection for the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies was released on Wednesday, 5 July. Neither Rana nor his KKR colleague Rinku Singh was selected for the Indian team, which will play 5 T20Is against the Caribbean country from August 3-13.

He has one century and 28 fifties in the format with a strike rate of 136.71. In addition, he has 43 wickets in 63 innings at a 7.10 economy rate.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma were named to India’s T20I squad for the West Indies tour, while Sanju Samson returned to the squad.
