‘Bhai ye toh aag ugal rha hai‘- Fans react as Umran Malik unleashes 147 kph delivery to dismiss Bhanuka Rajapaksa in the 2nd T20I match
Young Indian pacer Umran Malik has made a big name for himself because of his bowling speed ever since he came into the picture. On Thursday, when India and Sri Lanka clashed against each other in the second match of the three-match T20I series, Malik again showed his fast bowling ability and produced a 147 kmph fiery delivery to dismiss the Sri Lankan batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

Earlier on Tuesday (January 3), during the first T20I against Sri Lanka, he entered his name in the history books of Indian cricket when he bowled the fastest-ever delivery by an Indian pacer. The right-arm fast bowler bowled a 155 kph ripper to Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka
However, talking about Umran Malik’s fastest ball, he bowled the fastest ball of his career against Delhi in the Indian T20 League. In that match at the Brabourne Stadium, he bowled a ball at a speed of 157kph, after which his speed started being discussed everywhere. This is the fastest ball bowled by an Indian bowler in the cash-rich league.

Talking about the second match, Umran again impressed with his speed and picked 3 crucial wickets for the team but he was quite expensive as he conceded 48 runs in his 4-over quota. Most of the boundaries came due to his speed as the mistimed shots also sent the ball out of the boundary ropes easily.
Malik made his ODI debut against New Zealand at Auckland in November last year, where he picked 2/66 and then took 1/31 in a washed-out match at Christchurch on November 30. Since the time he grabbed attention in the Indian T20 League 2020 and 2021 with his searing pace, Malik’s cricketing graph has gone up.
Talking about the Sri Lanka series, India will play without Sanju Samson for the remaining two matches of the series after he was ruled out with an injured knee. Jitesh Sharma has been named as his replacement.
