Indian PM Narendra Modi made his appearance along with the Australian PM Anthony Albanese on Day 1 of the fourth Test. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and the Australian captain Steve Smith posed with their Prime Ministers ahead of the toss. As it stands, the home side lead the series 2-1, with India winning the first two matches.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami has replaced Mohammed Shami in the Indian playing XI. KL Rahul has been benched again and Shubman Gill will open with Rohit. Smith is leading the Australian again as refused Pat Cummins has decided to stay back in Australia due to his mother’s health.

Indian playing XI:
Rohit Sharma(c), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Srikar Bharat(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav.

Australian playing XI:

India are already leading in a four-match series by 2-1, and a win in the Ahmedabad Test will not only make them win the series but also book their spot in the Test championship final.
