Another thriller was played in the ongoing season of the tournament. Former winners gave each other a tough fight at the Docklands Stadium. Batting first, the Thunders amassed 174/6 thanks to the contributions from middle-order batters.
In reply, the 2018-19 winners were going along nicely thanks to skipper Nic Maddinson and former captain Aaron Finch. However, in the last over, the team needed 10 runs off just four balls. However, Finch took the challenge on and scored the required runs with only one ball left.
