Indian cricket has been blessed with some of the greatest players in the world over the years. In modern times Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been the two most impactful names in world cricket. India is lucky to have both of them playing for the team at the same time.
But the fans of the two players are often seen arguing with each other on social media about who is the better of the two. Both the camps come up with their logic and points in the arguments to prove their point. Often it is seen one camp is even bringing down a player to promote their favorite.
In the Indian T20 League, the two players play for two of the most popular franchises with huge fanbases. The rivalry between Mumbai and Bangalore adds more fire to the fight between the fans of Virat and Rohit.
But in the 15th edition of the tournament both the players are having a terrible time with the bat. This has led the fans to forget differences and stand behind the two modern greats.
Rohit has scored only 114 runs in the tournament from seven matches at an average of 16.29, while on the other hand, Virat Kohli has scored 119 runs from eight matches at an average of 17.0. Both of them are looking completely out of touch and are failing to contribute to their team’s efforts. While Virat has been suffering from a lack of form for a couple of years now, Rohit has had a low in recent times.
The absence of form has made the fans forget any differences they have and support the duo. In the days of toxicity and hate on social media, it is heartening to see the fans of the two players trying to support the two players. It is tough times for two of the most prolific run-scorers for India in the modern times and they will appreciate any sort of support coming their way.
