Cameron Green makes worrying admission –

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green spoke about his lifelong battle with Chronic Kidney disease during an interview with 7Cricket. The young cricketer explained how he has been struggling with health conditions since his childhood.

“My Parents got told when I was born that I had chronic kidney disease. Basically, there are no symptoms. It was just picked through the ultrasounds”. During the interview, Cameron Green revealed that the doctors had predicted short life expectancy.

The young cricketer went on to add “Chronic kidney disease is a progressive disease at your kidney’s health function. Unfortunately, mine doesn’t filter the blood as well as other kidneys. They are at about 60% at the moment which is stage two”

This news has rattled cricket fans across the world with Cameron Green starting to build a huge fan base. “I consider myself very lucky that I’, not as affected physically by chronic kidney disease as other people who are affected by the same thing”

Earlier this summer Cameron Green wasn’t considered for the Prime Minister’s XI tour game against Pakistan. “With chronic kidney diseases, there are five stages, with stage one being the least severe, and stage being transplant or dialysis. Fortunately, I’m stage two, but if you don’t look after them enough, it goes back down. Kidneys can’t get better. It’s irreversible. So anything you can do to slow the progression, you try and do”
