Chelsea star Mykhaylo Mudryk has spoken out on social media about his perceived unhappiness since his £88 million move to the west London club. Mudryk’s transfer saga was one of the most extraordinary of the season, with the Ukrainian widely expected to join Arsenal, even courting the Gunners on social media.

However, since joining Chelsea, Mudryk has looked particularly dejected, with Shakhtar Donetsk chief Darijo Srna claiming that he isn’t happy in west London.

“Unfortunately, at Chelsea now he’s not in a good mood,” Srna told the Football Ramble Podcast. “But he has all the qualities to be one of the best players in the Premier League in the next couple of years.”

Mudryk, however, has denied such claims, emphatically stating his contentment at Chelsea. When an Instagram user by the name Yugiizman commented, “Hello @mmudryk10 are you happy with Chensea now?”, Mudryk replied “Yes”.

The 22-year-old is no stranger to dropping clues with his phone, having raised eyebrows after liking a social media post slamming his own teammate Marc Cucurella after the 1-1 draw with West Ham United.

All not well as the West London club

Chelsea’s struggles have been apparent this season, with statistics showing that they’re the worst scorers in the top four divisions of England. Graham Potter, however, says he won’t quit the Blues despite their poor form.

Transfer rumors have been rife, linking the club with moves for former stars Tammy Abraham and Romelu Lukaku. Marc Cucurella could be sold after just one season, while contract rebel Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante are targets for Liverpool. Chelsea have also reportedly offered a swap deal to bring Joao Felix to the Bridge permanently.

Despite the rumors and struggles, Srna still believes Mudryk has the potential to be one of the best players in the Premier League. And with a long way to go in the season, Chelsea still have time to turn their fortunes around and prove their worth on the pitch.
