Croatia player’s son consoles Neymar after Brazil lost to Croatia in Quarterfinal of FIFA World Cup 2022
On December 9, Brazil and Croatia locked horns in the first quarterfinal of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022. The five-time winners, Brazil were the favorites. However, the 2018 finalists made it hard for the former champions in the regular time. Croatia’s midfield trio — Marcelo Brozovic, Mateo Kovacic, and Luka Modric created a lot of trouble. Not to forget, goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic was up for the fight.
In the extra time, Neymar scored in the 16th minute of the extra, and looked like the Latin Americans will go through. However, Bruno Petcovic ensured that the game was alive till the penalty shootout. In the penalty shootout, the European side converted all their four chance while Brazil missed two which is why they lost by 2-4. With this loss, the Yellow brigade crashed out of the tournament.
They lost the quarterfinal last time too. Meanwhile, after the loss, Neymar couldn’t help but cry as his side’s dream was diminished. He was consoled by Croatia’s Ivan Perisic’s son. The youngster ran on the field towards the Brazil star. Initially, the kid was stopped by security but Neymar asked them to let the kid in. The video is going viral on the internet.
