CSK star cricketer Ben Stokes is set to miss the IPL in 2024. Notably, the great all-rounder has made himself unavailable ahead of the edition. The England Test skipper has opted out of the franchise to manage his workload and fitness. The top-order batter was recently seen in the ODI World Cup 2023 and hammered his first ODI World Cup hundred against the Netherlands.

Notably, Ben Stokes was especially called for the ODI World Cup 2023 despite his retirement, as he played the match-winning knock in the 2019 ODI World Cup against New Zealand at Lords that guided his side to win the title on their home soil. However, things were different this time, as they failed to retain their title with their poor performances. However, they were lucky enough to finish in the eighth spot, which makes them qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Ben Stokes was brought in by CSK with a huge amount after his match-winning knock in the T20 World Cup 2022 final against Pakistan at MCG in Australia. However, Stokes was only able to play two games while scoring 15 runs for CSK in the IPL 2023. The great all-rounder was injured at the start of the campaign; however, he didn’t get the chance as Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Mavi booked their spots in the middle order.
