Dani Alves’ wife demands divorce amidst former accused of rape

Former Brazil and Barcelona player, Dani Alves‘ wife has demanded a divorce from the former. This is a surprising turn of events as recently she or Dani’s previous wife had denied the allegations. “I know who my husband is, I know how I met him, I know how respectful he is because not even when he was getting to know me did he lack to respect,” Joana Sanz, Dani’s current said in an interview.

Apart from her, Dana Dinorah, his ex-wife has also maintained that her ex-spouse wouldn’t do something like this. However, things have taken a drastic turn. Apparently, Alves has reportedly claimed that he a ‘consensual intercourse’ with the accuser, having claimed not knowing the woman before. Recently, Joana removed all of those pictures from her Instagram account that included her husband.

Dani Alves was slapped with 18 years in prison

Meanwhile, last month, the Brazil court slapped the former player with a prison time of 18 years. After hearing the testimony of the accuser and a witness, the court came to this conclusion. Officially, Dani denied the allegations and said that he had a good time during the party. For those who don’t know, the case is related to a party on December 30, 2022, attended by the legendary player. After the case was filed and till the sentence, he denied the allegations.

“Yes, I was in that place, with more people, enjoying myself. And people who know me know that I love to dance. I was dancing and enjoying myself without invading the space of others.”

“I don’t know who that lady is. You arrive at a bathroom and you don’t have to ask who’s there. I have never invaded anyone’s space. How am I going to do it with a woman or a girl? No, for God’s sake,” Alves said.
