 Did Ravindra Jadeja Just Confirm His Exit From Chennai?

Chennai franchise of the Indian T20 League is known as a home for Ravindra Jadeja as he had been enjoying playing for them since his arrival from Rajasthan. Throughout all these years, his performances have been instrumental in the history of the Chennai franchise in this tournament. He played a major role in making Chennai, one of the best franchises for this event.

During the last year’s edition, Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as the captain of Chennai as the team management decided to take away all the captaincy responsibilities from MS Dhoni. But, the decision did not work well as Jadeja only managed to win one game out of five, which he led Chennai in the recently concluded edition of the tournament.

As he failed to lead the team properly and sustained an injury also, he decided to return the baton to MS Dhoni as he led the franchise for the rest of the season. However, from then only, news of a clear rift between the franchise and him got circulated. Even, though several reports were there that the franchise had unfollowed this Indian all-rounder on social media platforms.

Now, on 8 July 2022, it had been found that Jadeja removed all his Chennai posts from 2021 and 2022 from his official Instagram account.

He is currently busy with his Indian Teammates in England. After his first-ever ton outside Asia, he was asked about the Indian T20 League 2022 with Chennai in the press conference at Edgbaston. In reply, he said: “What happened, happened. Indian T20 League was not on my mind. Whenever you are playing for India, your entire focus needs to be on the Indian team. It was the same for me, there is no better satisfaction than performing well for the Indian cricket team.”

Jadeja is tipped to be back in action for India when India will lock horns again with England for the second and third T20Is on 9 and 10 July 2022 respectively.
