‘Dil jeet liya Virat Kohli ne’ – Fans react as Ben Stokes wishes Virat Kohli to return to Test series
Virat Kohli is not only the best batter but also a humble human being. The entire cricket fraternity is his huge fan for the kind of person he is. The teams playing against India have always praised him for the kind of cricket he plays and for maintaining the game’s standards. Moreover, in a recent interview, England’s captain Ben Stokes spoke about Virat Kohli’s absence from the Test match series and said that he is hoping for Kohli to return to the series.
“Stokes said, Everyone wants to see Virat Kohli on the field. I wish him the best and hope he comes back soon on the cricket field”.
Before the Test series started, Kohli opted out of the first two matches because of some personal reasons. It was sure that he would return for the rest of the matches. However, as the selectors declared the team for the last three matches, Kohli wasn’t included in the team for the same reasons.
As India will play the rest of the series in Kohli’s absence, fans are hoping for Rohit Sharma to get back to his form. Moreover, apart from Kohli, Shreyas Iyer is also excluded from the team. With the lack of experience in the batting lineup, youngsters have to give their best for India to win the match.
‘For anyone to play 100 tests is an unbelievable experience’ – Ollie Pope appreciates Ben Stokes
Ollie Pope, England’s star batter, appreciates Captain Ben Stokes on completion of 100 Test matches. Stokes is set to enter the elite club with the 100th Test match in Rajkot. As a captain, he has done a great job for the English team. He has helped the team build a strong mentality due to which they are winning matches from difficult situations.
Pope said. “It’s unbelievable. For anyone to play 100 tests is an unbelievable experience. And think he’s had his highs and his lows in his career. The guy has sort of probably changed the game a lot in a lot of respects, and he just got away with bringing out the very best of him when it means the most to the team.”
