The recent assassination attempt on former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan created concerns on England’s tour of Pakistan 2022. For the unversed, the Three Lions are scheduled to tour the Asian country for the three-match Test series. In September this year, the team toured Pakistan for the seven-match T20I series. This was the first time since 2005 that England toured Pakistan.
Notably, this was the first leg of the series between the teams. The next part of the series will be played next month which consists of three Tests. Everything around the series was copacetic until Khan was attacked during a political rally. Currently, he is recovering after being shot in the leg. According to Stokes, Reg is currently assessing the security situation in Pakistan.
