Fans Give Mixed Reactions As A Star Indian Bowler Bowls In The Nets To Rohit Sharma

The Indian Team is currently busy playing the fifth rescheduled Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham. However, before this match, India dealt with a major blow as their regular skipper Rohit Sharma got ruled out due to a Covid-19 infection.

Hence, Jasprit Bumrah was given the captaincy duties in his absence. However, on July 3, 2022, good news came that Rohit Sharma had tested negative finally and he can join the rest of the Team ahead of the limited series against England, starting from July 7. Even, he was seen in the nets, batting in full flow.

Ravichandran Ashwin bowls in the net to Rohit Sharma

The Indian Cricket Board shared a video where Rohit Sharma was seen, batting in his full mojo ahead of the series. The Rajasthan franchise of the Indian T20 League also shared the video on Twitter. But, in that video, fans also observed that India’s star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is helping Rohit as he was bowling in the net.

But, that did not go well for some fans as they took their Twitter account to share their thoughts. Fans also said that it is quite hurting to see him bowling in the net while India is busy playing a Test match.

Speaking about the ongoing Test match, India was asked to bat first as England won the toss. India batted well as they scored 416 runs, thanks to a hundred from both Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja. In reply, England got bundled out for 284 runs. Jonny Bairstow continued his rich-vein form as he scored another Test century. In the second innings, India scored 245 runs and posted a target of 378 runs for the English batters. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant scored fifty each in the innings. As of now, the match is in an interesting phase as Englan is batting on 140 runs by losing three wickets. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow are in the crease as India is seven wickets away from sealing a historical Test series win on English soil.
