After a below-average performance in South Africa, India are all set to host the West Indies for a limited-overs series. Despite the absence of several players like Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad, India still have a formidable squad.

The ODI series against the Windies is all set to start on January 6. India’s newly-appointed limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma is fully fit, and is all set to lead the side. The hosts recently were seen training in Ahmedabad ahead of the first one-dayer.

The BCCI recently took to Twitter to post pictures of the team practicing at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday. The pictures of their training session went viral instantly. Several players were seen sweating it out.

However, there was one image that managed to draw attention. While Sharma was seen addressing his troops in one picture, several users pointed out that Virat Kohli wasn’t paying attention to what he was saying. The 33-year-old was seemingly looking in the other direction.

Thus, several fans trolled for doing the same. One fan hilariously commented ‘jealousy’ on the image with laughing emojis.

However, amidst all the rumours, Kohli himself had recently clarified that there isn’t any rift between him and the opener. As a matter of fact, India’s chief selector Chetan Sharma had also ridiculed the reports of them having a rift as well.

“Sometimes I read reports about them and laugh. I’m telling you there is such good planning between them about the future. Things are fantastic. If you were in my place, you would have enjoyed watching how these guys are working together as a team and family and a unit. It’s really saddening when people make up things like that. So please, leave controversies behind in 2021. Let’s talk about how to make them the best team,” said Chetan Sharma, as quoted by DNA India.
