This new pace sensation, Umran Malik was the talk of the town when he was bowling at some fiery pace at his will in every match of the Indian T20 League. It also earned him a maiden call-up to the Indian set-up during the South Africa series.
However, he did not get a game in that five-match series. But, now he is expected to be featured in this series under the new captain, Hardik Pandya. In the Indian T20 League 2022, he picked up 22 wickets in 14 matches at an economy of 9.03.
