2. Hardik Pandya: Hardik Pandya was drafted by the new franchise of the Indian T20 League, Gujarat. Gujarat paid a price of INR 15 Cr to get the player on their team. Hardik rose to fame after delivering some fine performances for the Mumbai team. He was especially known for the aggressive finishes he gave to his team. Besides this, Hardik was very useful with the bowl in hand, playing the fifth bowler’s role and thus providing dynamism and flexibility to the team he is a part of.
But after his back injury, Pandya had issues with his bowling and also kept losing his touch in the batting front. Pandya was last seen in action for India in November 2021. Since then, his injury issues have kept him away from the action. India, in his absence, has looked at players like Venkatesh Iyer to fill the place of a pace-bowling all-rounder. Hardik will look to perform big this season and prove his point as a genuine pace bowling all-round option for India.
