Jason Roy, an English T20 specialist, was bought in mega auction by the Gujarat Titans. However, owing to bio bubble fatigue, he withdrew his name from the Indian T20 League. Roy was roped in by Gujarat at a base price of INR 2 crores thus his loss is a big blow to the franchise. Gujarat will now have to seek a replacement. Here are the possible replacement options that will be on the radar for the franchise.

Suresh Raina

People are seeing Suresh Raina as a replacement for Jason Roy. We are all familiar with Suresh Raina, also known as MR.ITL. He went unsold in the mega auction. So he can easily replace Jason Roy due to his batting ability. He was the first person to score 5000 runs in ITL.

Colin Munro

Colin Munro is one of New Zealand’s most devastating T20 batsmen of all time. Munro went unsold at the auction but he is a similar batter to Jason Roy and can also be used as an opener.

He can play in accordance with the game’s circumstances, without being overly aggressive or slow. Munro could be the ideal candidate for the Gujarat-based franchise. The team will have a left-right combo if he starts with Gill.
