Kolkata Knight Riders might be the franchise that would eventually buy him. There are many reasons behind him getting sold to KKR. Firstly, Cummins has a long association with Cummins. For a long time, Cummins has been a part of the franchise in the league. In fact, the only time Cummins did not play a season for KKR ever since they brought him, was in 2023. It was a voluntary decision from Cummins to not take part in the season due to fitness concerns.
Else, KKR was not even going to leave someone like Pat. Ahead of the IPL 2024, KKR would be looking back to get their former star player at all costs. Kolkata’s wicket has changed in the last few months. Pacers with variations and pace can be very good at the venue. Cummins is just the suitable bowler to be in their dugout.
