- Both teams have new coaches
Both England as well as India have appointed new coaches in Test Cricket. During the Test series between these two nations in England, Ravi Shastri was the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team, while Chris Silverwood was holding the coaching responsibilities of the Three Lions.
However, Ravi Shastri’s tenure as India’s head coach ended after the 2021 T20 World Cup. Rahul Dravid has been appointed as India’s new head coach. On the other hand, Chris Silverwood stepped down from his position after England’s humiliating Ashes series loss. They recently appointed Brendon McCullum as their new coach in Test Cricket.
