Former cricketer comes hard on the selection of the “BIG Three” Indian batters

After a disaster in the last 20-20 World Cup, India will look to rejuvenate their form in the coming mega event later this year in Australia. However, India had found some young and fresh talents after the completion of the Indian T20 League. But, still, the ‘BIG THREE’ means Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are tipped to be the main players of the team ahead of the next World Cup.
However, former Indian cricketer Saba Karim questioned the form and fitness of these three players as he wanted the Indian Cricket Board to have a hard talk with them.

Former Indian player, Saba Karim said that it will be tough for the current selectors to keep them out of the squad as they will walk into the XI easily. He said: “A tough call for the selectors. At this stage, I’m sure all three of them (Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul) will walk into the XI. But the team management or selectors need to have hard conversations with the individuals involved. There is stiff competition coming through and they are not scoring”
He also added that all these players had a horrendous last 20-20 World Cup. Both Virat and Rohit had a bad Indian T20 League too. However, for Rahul, despite scoring more than 600 runs, his strike rate had been the major issue. “If such criticism is being leveled at them, it is up to them to find a solution so that they emerge in a much better manner. And if it’s not happening then the team management or selectors need to have hard conversations with the individuals involved because there is stiff competition coming through,” he added.
He also urged Indian players to understand the needs of modern T20 batting. “The players whom you have named enough experience to make the required changes in their batting so that it is beneficial for the national side. I’m sure they understand the needs of modern T20 batting,” he concluded.
