Pakistan is hosting England for the ongoing three-match Test series after 2005. However, the series has turned out to be a nightmare for the home side. In the first two Tests in Rawalpindi and Multan, the Three Lions won in style and created history. On the other hand, the Pakistan team, and the board has been facing criticisms from the right, left, and center.

PCB chairperson, Ramiz Raja, and the team management have been criticized for preparing a flat deck for Rawalpindi Test. Not to forget, the wicket at the venue has gotten a few more demerits as it was given ‘Below Average’ twice this year. Meanwhile, in the midst of all this, former Pakistan leggie, Danish Kaneria has come in support of the 1992 World Cup winner. The former said urged the media to give some time to Raja to deliver.

“Ramiz bhai is intelligent. He knows and understands cricket. Give him some time, he’ll do a good job, and he’s already doing that. Pakistani media has a problem with him. They want to remove him,” Kaneria said on his YouTube channel.

“Aapki dukan nahi chal rahi hai kya Ramiz Raja bhai ke hone ke wajah se? (Are you not able to run your business because of Ramiz Raja?) Najam Sethi will come, and your work will resume again?” he added.

You will get similar wickets in Pakistan: Danish Kaneria

The former leggie further added that those expecting ‘different surfaces’ will be produced after replacing Raja as Chairperson are completely wrong. Kaneria reasoned that the higher-ups in the PCB know that the Pakistan batting will fail on green tracks.

“You’ll get similar wickets in Pakistan’s home series whether Najam Sethi or Ramiz Raja or XYZ is the chairman. Nobody will give you grass because they know our team will fail on those tracks.

“There’s no mistake from the PCB chairman; it’s Pakistan’s history; groundsmen are told to create supporting tracks. Don’t blame,” said Kaneria.
