India and Australia will lock horns for the finals of the ODI World Cup 2023 on 19 November at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad and will meet each other once again after 20 years in the finals after the 2003 edition of the ODI World Cup. A star-studded closing ceremony for the ODI World Cup 2023 has been planned by the Indian cricket board to entertain the fans one last time as the World Cup concludes.
As per the official post of the Indian cricket board, In the first drinks break, there will be a performance by the Coke Studio Khalasi song sensation Aditya Gadhvi, followed by the performance of music Maestro Pritam Chakraborty, and popular singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh and Tushar Joshi in the innings break. In the 2nd innings drinks break, there will be a laser and light show at the Narendra Modi stadium.
There were multiple reports that the Hollywood pop singer Dua Lipa will be gracing Ahmedabad for a performance in the closing ceremony of the ODI World Cup 2023 however nothing has been reported by the Indian Cricket Board regarding the same. However, the Apex Cricket Council has invited all the former World Cup-winning captains to witness the live action between India and Australia.
Finalists Skippers on qualifying for the last match of ODI World Cup 2023
After qualifying for the finals of the ODI World Cup 2023, Rohit Sharma said, “Today obviously being the semifinal, won’t say there was no pressure, whenever you play there’s pressure. Semifinal adds a bit extra, we wanted to not think too much about it, just do what we’ve been doing like in the first nine games. Things came off for us nicely in the second half.”
After beating South Africa in the semifinals the Australian captain Pat Cummins said, “Few of us have played in a final before, a couple of other guys in a T20 World Cup final, the stadium is going to be packed, mostly going to be one-sided but it’s about embracing it. 2015 World Cup was a career highlight, so to be playing another final in India, we are very happy as a unit, can’t wait.”
